Upper eyelid

Upper eyelid surgery (upper blepharoplasty) aims to remove excess skin that causes heaviness of expression and possible difficulties making up. The scar is located in the upper eyelid crease and is therefore invisible. Facial expression gains in brightness and looks more rested.

A comprehensive review of facial expression may lead to lower blepharoplasty and lipostructure of the dark circles being associated to obtain an aesthetically harmonious result.

Hyaluronic acid and botulinum toxin injections can be combined with eyelid surgery for smoother peri-orbital skin or added volume to the dark circles area.

Dr. Dudrap's expertise

A fish-tailed designed upper blepharoplasty allows larger-scale external skin excision, thus making for a more natural-looking result without altering the eye’s expression.

Lower eyelid

Lower eyelid surgery (lower blepharoplasty) mainly aims to remove the fat excess that form the “bags” under the eyes (baggy eyelids). The operation is usually performed via the inner face of the lid, which leaves no visible scar and reduces surgical risks, called transconjunctival approach. Any excess skin present on the lower lid is removed on request, usually using a pinch-technique.
